A powerful documentary that goes in depth about the presence of African Americans in the military. This documentary first aired on the Public Broadcasting System, was directed by Frank Martin and features such noted celebrities as Halle Berry, Morgan Freeman and Colin Powell.

In this 4 hour miniseries you will learn not only about the Buffalo Soldiers and the Tuskegee Airmen but also about Crispus Attucks, the Lousiana Free Men of Color that helped win the Battle of New Orleans, the 200,000 black soldiers that participated in the Civil War, the First Rhode Island Regiment that fought in the Revolution and much, much more.

For Love of Liberty, which took ten years to complete, should be watched by all and especially people of color.
