The Tulsa Race Riot
There was a time when Tulsa, OK had a flourishing African American Community. It was know as “Black Wall Street”. However, from May 31st until June 1st, 1921, during the Tulsa Race Riots, this community was decimated by what we would most likely label as a “terrorist attack” today or as some authors have noted as “the worst single act of domestic violence on U. S. soil since the Civil War”. Below you will find links to various articles that document and explain the Black Wall Street and the Tulsa Race Riot as well as several photos that illustrate “Black Wall Street” and the Tulsa Race Riots. I have also posted several videos about the Tulsa Race Riots for you all to view as well.
