This weekend Raleigh, NC and Wake County will be holding it’s 3rd Annual African American Cultural Festival. Every year this event has grown larger and larger with the overall attendance increasing from 15,000 in 2011 to 23,000 in 2012. This year they are expecting an even larger turnout and they truly have a great schedule of event prepared for all those who are able to come and support the event. There will be an International Art Market, Family Village, Vendor Marketplace, Performances by famous and emerging singers and musicians, and food vendors during this three day celebration of African American culture!
Location
The festival will take place on Fayetteville Street in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina from Martin Street through City Plaza. There will also be a Pre-Festival Jam Session at The Lincoln Theatre that will featuring Slick Rick and a tribute to Don Cornelius.
Dates
The event will take place on Labor Day Weekend from August 31st, 2012 until August 2nd, 2012.
